Junior Investigative Analyst - Full Time

An ideal position for new, or soon to be graduate!

Investigative Analysts provide research and due diligence for our client base. They conduct extensive Internet-based research regarding companies, events, and individuals. Information gathered is reviewed and analyzed extensively, then compiled into a written summary report. These reports will enable our clients to form an assessment of the status, legitimacy, general background, and overall reputation of a given subject company and its main principals.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Investigative Analyst will be to provide specialist desktop research and analysis of public record and open source information in support of business due diligence and other investigative projects.

Qualifications

  • Proactive with an inquisitive, analytical/investigative mind
  • Experience in conducting research with a focus on and attention to detail
  • Extremely strong writing skills, including the ability to quickly and effectively summarize information from multiple sources into concise, analytical assessments
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and work well under pressure
  • Ability to understand and communicate findings to colleagues and clients
  • Identify and participate in professional development opportunities in order to keep abreast of emerging trends, as well as new analytical tools and techniques
  • Identify and develop sources of information, including, but not limited to, the Internet, databases, and public records
  • Flexibility to work on special team projects in writing, researching, and business development

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or comparable work experience required
  • Exceptional presentation and writing skills with attention to detail
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Previous research experience and/or familiarity with databases, such as LexisNexis, Accurint, CLEAR, Dun and Bradstreet, Factiva, or similar
  • The persistence to track down sometimes-esoteric information
  • Availability to support office functions and events when needed
