Hg’s Director of Education & Knowledge, Megan Munoz, will be hosting a full day of training for the ACFE El Paso Area Chapter.

This one-day course will cover online investigations best practices, including an introduction to online investigations and open source primer. The course will also cover more intermediate and advanced topics including performing hands-on techniques to maximize search engines, performing online due diligence to examine backgrounds of entities and the people who manage them, and unlocking the potential of asset investigations.

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
• Navigate the Internet and social media platforms for rudimentary online investigations as well as use time and resources more efficiently.
• Hunt down deep web content, conduct advanced search strategies on Google, Bing, and other search engines, and use algorithms for surface finds and open source results.
• Write reports that emphasize and highlight key findings, identify key resources available to investigators that go unused, find and vet applicant information within keystrokes, and implement handy tactics for conducting online fraud investigations.
• Legally obtain bank account information and other assets, use social media to identify assets and asset potential, and identify the offerings of illegally obtained asset information.
