RALEIGH, N.C., October 31, 2019 –Monica Smiley, CEO and publisher of Enterprising Women magazine, has appointed Cynthia Hetherington, Marilyn Magett and Jessica Ye to the Enterprising Women Advisory Board.  All three have built successful businesses and are active contributors to the advancement of professionalism in their industries as well as the well-being of their communities. As such, they embody the leadership values of Enterprising Women and its network of successful women business owners across North America and globally.

Cynthia Hetherington, MLS, MSM, CFE, CII is Founder and President of Hetherington Group, a consulting, publishing, and training firm that leads in due diligence, corporate intelligence, and cyber investigations by keeping pace with the latest security threats and assessments. She has authored three books on how to conduct investigations and annually trains over 7,200 investigators, security professionals, attorneys, accountants, auditors, military intelligence professionals, and federal, state, and local agencies on best practices.

For more than 25 years, Hetherington has led national and international investigations in corporate due diligence and fraud, personal asset recovery, and background checks. With a specialization in the financial, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications industries, her investigations have recovered millions of dollars in high profile corruption cases, assisting on the investigations of the top two Ponzi cases in United States history.

Her most recent clients include the U.S. Department Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC); U.S. Department of Defense (DOD); U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI); U.S. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF); U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA); NY Mass Transit Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey; and The Ministry of Justice of The Hague, Netherlands.

Hetherington is a faculty member at the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. In 2015, she founded the OSMOSIS Institute, which hosts the annual OSMOSIS Conference. Hundreds of investigators across the nation gain insights into Open Source Intelligence and receive training from the most recognized social media and open source experts in North America.

Among her many recognitions, Hetherington was a 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year New Jersey Award Finalist, a 2019 Enterprising Women of the Year recipient, and a 2018 CybHER Warrior. Marilyn J. Magett is the CEO and Founder of CRS Financial Management Services, which provides virtual Chief Financial Officer (CFO) services to $1 million+ businesses. She helps established business owners maximize profits, manage cash flow, attract funding, and increase their companies’ value.

Magett’s distinguished career spans more than three decades. She’s served as CFO and in Controllership-level positions for several companies, including Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. Well-grounded in accounting and financial management for both corporations and individuals, Magett learned early in her career that principles being applied in corporate and business accounting and financial management could and should also be relevant to small businesses – and vice versa. Drawing from her diverse experience, she’s able to identify and apply principles that best serve her clients’ unique business and personal financial needs.

Jessica Ye has been a real estate entrepreneur, developer and business leader for over 20 years.  Since founding Keller Williams Realty Cambridge in 2006, she has grown the brokerage firm to 100 agents with combined sales exceeding $500 million in 2018.  Her passion and vast industry knowledge have established her as a prominent advisor to domestic and international investors, developers and real estate professionals.  She has successfully led real estate trade missions to China, Korea and Taiwan.

Ye is also Founder and CEO of Marquis International and Rivermore Development.  Located in Boston and New York, Marquis International is a premier real estate brokerage dedicated to helping clients live, invest and build wealth. Rivermore Development is a real estate development and investment company specializing in re-development of value-add properties, and co-living community developments.

Ye is a respected authority in the Massachusetts real estate and business community.  She has served as a Board Member for Massachusetts Association of Realtors, Greater Boston Real Estate Board and Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA).  She has been interviewed by The Boston Business Journal, Boston Magazine, The Boston Globe and the Boston Herald.  She is a contributing speaker to many real estate conferences such as RISMedia Conference, national conferences for AREAA and National Association of Realtors.
